Was ist das?

Ziel der Scrum-Methode ist die kostengünstige und qualitativ hochwertige Fertigstellung eines Produktes oder einer konkreten Aufgabenstellung. Scrum kommt aus der Softwareentwicklung, findet mittlerweile aber auch in anderen kollaborativen Kontexten Verwendung.

Scrum geht von der Überlegung aus, dass die Entwicklung von Produkten meist zu komplex ist, um sie in einem vollkommen linearen Prozess abzuarbeiten. Die Scrum-Methode ist methodisch sehr strukturiert. Jeder Schritt ist zeitlich vorgeplant. Inhaltlich wird die Aufgabenstellung aber immer wieder reflektiert und weiterentwickelt, sowie der Gesamtprozess zeitlich darauf angepasst. (weiterlesen …)

Was ist das?

Gestaltet man eine Tagung kann man entweder auf herkömmliche Planung zurückgreifen, Experten einladen und als Organisator ein klares Tagungsprogramm erstellen oder man führt ein Barcamp durch. Hinter dem Barcamp steht die Idee, Tagungen und Workshops als offenes Format aufzubauen. Frei nach dem Bottom-up-Prinzip werden die Teilnehmenden selbst zu aktiven Partizipierenden, statt passiv Zuhörende zu bleiben.Barcamps können einerseits einfach zum inhaltlichen Austausch dienen, andererseits können am Ende eines Barcamps aber auch konkrete, umsetzbare Ergebnisse entstanden sein. We are facing unprecedented challenges. Crises loom on almost all global issues: the financial system, world climate, poverty, war, HIV, agriculture, to name but a few.

So far in most cases our answer to these challenges has been more of the same: more management and more international conferences. To tackle our problems we still use methodologies and tools derived from industrialization: they are mostly linear and straight forward. They are based on control of procedures. But for today’s complex challenges those ways of thinking and acting have lost their effectiveness. They might even be harmful.

Over the last decades other tools and methodologies have been developed, that acknowledge interconnectedness, complexity and the power of generative processes. These tools are based on trust in the process. We strongly believe that we can only tackle our global challenges if global leaders take up these new methodologies and subscribe to their processes on a large scale. (weiterlesen …)
